Every year I come to Myrtle Beach to go golfing and I stay in Garden City Beach rentals because it’s less crowded and less expensive than the condos along the courses. I like renting a house instead of a condo because I have more privacy and more room. If there’s a pool it’s unlikely I’ll have to share it. Same goes with the hot tub or Jacuzzi. As more and more people begin to play golf while on vacations, there are more and more exceptionally challenging courses being built. One of the vacation hot spots for the latest courses is in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. There are plenty of golf courses there, but you need to be able to compare the courses and decide which ones you want to play at. Golf courses are compared using the Golf Course Ratings.
These ratings allow you to compare the golf courses and what makes each one of them different. The courses used to be rated under what is known as the Golf Course Advisory Stoplights. But, in 2005, the Myrtle Beach Golf Association changed to a different format, one using stars. The stars will rank from one to five stars.
These ratings are based on the following: course layout, the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, how much development has gone into the course, the cost to actually play a round of golf, how beautiful the course is, and many more features.
Remember that just because a course received a 4 star rating, does not mean you will love it. It will still depend on the person playing the course and it’s different for everyone. This rating system will give you a head start on seeing where you might want to play.
The next time you are coming to Myrtle Beach and looking for a good course to play at, you can look at some of the Golf Course ratings and see which ones are ranked a little higher than the rest and it will make more sense to you. You should also remember what I said about Garden City Beach rentals and give the people at Seaside Rentals Online a call. Go ahead and tell them I sent you.
